Metric Contribution to Action
This metric acts as a guiding indicator to promote equitable water stewardship, build trust with communities, and support climate adaptation and resilience at the household and catchment level.
Observations, Successes and Challenges
- Unlike workplace WASH services, tracking access across employee households and entire communities is complex.
- What defines an "employee community"? Does this include extended family, entire villages, or only immediate households?
- Tracking WASH access beyond the workplace involves complex stakeholder engagement and must be contextualised within shared water challenges. The definition of ‘employee community’ must be locally informed and agreed
