We invite companies and industry stakeholders to provide feedback on this white paper to ensure the specific needs of the fashion industry are reflected in the upcoming sector guidance.
In this paper, we propose an accountability system consisting of four phases that frame the journey for companies to end plastic pollution and transition to a circular economy for plastics.
The built environment is responsible for 37% of global emissions and a third of all solid waste streams.
This paper does not propose new metrics. Instead, it identifies the existing metrics used by companies through different reporting/disclosure mechanisms and selects the ones that could feed a global corporate accountability framework, in the context of the international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution.
This white paper, developed in collaboration with members of the WBCSD’s Transport Decarbonization project, outlines existing and emerging infrastructure business models and financing mechanisms available to companies and policymakers investing in charging infrastructure.
