Additional Metric Notes
i

ACT-D stage: Transform Maturity stage: Advancing Metric Contribution to Action: Measuring area restored in IWRAs enables tracking of ecological interventions and supports adaptive management to improve ecological functionality over time. Observations/Successes/Challenges: > Lack of clarity on “restoration” definitions > Restored areas take years to regenerate, and monitoring over time is essential but often overlooked. > This needs a definition of what ‘substantial improvement’ means. > Establishing stakeholder partnerships is often essential for determining restoration needs and priorities in IWRAs, especially where site-level knowledge is limited.
