Avoided emissions

Avoided emissions are the greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions that happen when a company’s products, services, or actions help prevent emissions elsewhere. These intervention-based emission savings come from solutions like renewable energy infrastructure, low-carbon animal feed, high-performance glazing and insulation, or other low-carbon practices that reduce the need for more higher-emitting alternatives.
