Avoided emissions

Avoided emissions, or Scope 4 emissions, are the greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions that happen when a company’s products, services, or actions help prevent emissions elsewhere. These emission savings come from solutions like renewable energy, energy-efficient technologies, or other low-carbon practices that reduce the need for more polluting alternatives.
