Framework alignment notes

GBF Target 7
SASB EM-CM-150a.1
TNFD C2.2 Weight of hazardous and nonhazardous waste disposed of, split into: • Waste incinerated (with and without energy recovery); • Waste sent to landfill; and • Other disposal methods. Weight of hazardous and nonhazardous waste (tonnes) diverted from landfill, split into waste reused; recycled; and other recovery operations. For EN, HB: Types of waste to report under this core global disclosure metric include: • Slags; • Dusts; • Sludges; • Used oil; • Soil; • Contaminated soil; • Paper; • Glass; • Plastics; • Metals; • Mixed demolition waste; and • Other solid waste that meet the TNFD definition of waste. Different waste types should be reported separately where relevant. An organisation should break down waste reported under ‘other recovery operations’ by operation, with reference to the waste hierarchy. For RE, RS: In reporting the core global metric for properties under management, an organisation should: • Report the floor area (m2 and % of total) for which the organisation has waste data and the quantity of waste from that area; • Specify the proportion (%) of waste collected for recycling by whether it was collected separately by material or needs to be further separated by a re-processor; and • Break down waste under ‘other recovery operations’ by operation, with reference to the waste hierarchy. For CM: Types of waste to report under this core global disclosure metric include: • Slags; • Dusts; • Sludges; • Used oil; and • Other solid wastes that meet the TNFD definition of waste. The scope excludes gaseous waste.
