Overview

WBCSD Tokyo Connect is our flagship annual gathering in Japan, bringing together executives from our member companies and select guests to provide a platform for sharing insights, practical experiences, and showcasing business-led, sustainability-driven solutions. The aim is to help Japanese companies navigate a rapidly changing operating environment where competitiveness, resilience and growth are increasingly shaped by the low-carbon transition.

Taking place in Tokyo on 14 October 2026, this meeting will convene senior representatives from government, leading Japanese companies and international organisations to advance practical collaboration on climate, responsible AI deployment and sustainable growth. It offers a unique platform to exchange insights and explore practical solutions that create business value while accelerating progress.

What to expect

This year’s program will include sessions on:

  • Assessing and communicating the circularity of products and services with the Global Circularity Protocol
  • Leveraging avoided emissions for competitive advantage in corporate and financial decision-making, with real-life use cases from sustainability leaders.
