This self-paced, interactive course provides a comprehensive introduction to corporate climate action, tailored for professionals across all business functions. Structured into 6 modules, the course explores the urgency of climate action, the corporate strategies driving decarbonization, and the integration of climate considerations into day-to-day decision-making. Participants will gain clarity on their functional role in reducing emissions and will be guided to develop a personalized Action Plan to translate course insights into practical, business-relevant steps.
The course consists of six thematic modules that guide learners through the journey of corporate climate action:
Module 1 – Prepare: the business risks, opportunities, and benefits of climate action.
Module 2 – Measure: how companies measure and manage greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Module 3 – Set Targets: the steps to set credible, ambitious and achievable climate targets .
Module 4 – Reduce: key decarbonization actions and how to drive emission reductions initiatives across all functions.
Module 5 – Report: how climate reporting builds accountability and drives sustainable value while meeting regulatory requirements.
Module 6 – Adapt: key strategies for adaptation to climate change and the importance of business resilience.
Each module features real-world examples, interactive exercises, case studies from high-performing WBCSD member companies, and experts insights.
Throughout the course, participants are encouraged to build a personalized Action Plan* and enhance their learning through the Notebook*, which includes AI prompts and reflection questions.
