Geneva 1 May 2023: The Tire Industry Project (TIP) has appointed Larisa Kryachkova as Executive Director, succeeding Anne-Cécile Rémont. Kryachkova will be based in Geneva and begins her appointment 1 May 2023.

Kryachkova holds a doctorate in business administration with the focal topic of research in sustainability, and has extensive experience in finance, change management, and sustainability, realized through posts held with the Ardagh Group and Owens-Illinois.

“Larisa’s appointment comes at a key moment for the Tire Industry Project,” wrote TIP’s Executive Committee. “We recently announced an evolution of the project, and we are enthusiastic about Larisa’s contribution to delivering on our enhanced mission, to anticipate, understand, and address global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues relevant to the tire industry and its value chain.”

Outgoing Executive Director Rémont was lauded by the Executive Committee. “Anne-Cécile advanced all aspects of the project during her five-and-a-half year tenure and was central to key industry achievements including the initiation of the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR) and delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Roadmap for the tire industry. TIP has gone from strength-to-strength and we are indebted to Anne-Cécile for her contributions to taking TIP to the next level and laying solid foundations for the important work still to be done.”

Built upon the pillars of research, action and engagement, and communication, TIP’s updated organizational structure and work program will complement the continuing sustainability-driven program of scientific research with enhanced action, stakeholder engagement and communication across a suite of ongoing and new projects relevant to ESG in the tire sector.

Formed in 2005, the Tire Industry Project (TIP) is the tire industry’s primary global forum on sustainability topics, with a mission to anticipate, understand, and address global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues relevant to the tire industry and its value chain.

Operating under the umbrella of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, TIP is a voluntary CEO-led initiative that brings together 10 leading tire companies, which represent more than 60 percent of the world’s tire manufacturing capacity.

TIP is Co-Chaired by Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear, and Michelin.

The members of TIP in alphabetical order are Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear, Hankook, Kumho, Michelin, Pirelli, Sumitomo, Toyo Tires, and Yokohama.
