John Revess

Mr John Revess is Vice President (VP) and a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), based in Geneva, Switzerland.

John joined WBCSD in 2019 as Director of Plastics and Packaging and more recently as Senior Director Net Zero Transformation.
In his role as VP, John focuses on the engagement with the world’s leading companies to scale collective action towards an equitable and sustainable world, the strategy to mobilize them best, as well as fundraising.

John is a business savvy sustainability leader with a strong track record building powerful and resilient products and brands in global manufacturing and consumer goods companies. Before, he was Group Head of Sustainability at ABB Ltd, and he held several positions at companies like Colgate Palmolive and Unilever.

John obtained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Surrey and a Master’s degree in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge.
