Senior Director, Risk Insights, Corporate Performance & Accountability


Alexandra Dumitru leads the Risk Insights work within WBCSD’s Corporate Performance & Accountability team, enabling companies to protect and create value by enhancing their long-term resilience through robust management of physical and transition risks. Her work connects sustainability-related risks to finance and strategy to support better corporate decision-making in a rapidly changing world, helping position WBCSD’s members at the forefront of systems transformation.

Alexandra brings 20 years of sustainability and finance experience, including 8 years of thought‑leadership in climate and nature work, such as piloting quantitative climate risk methodologies as part of UNEP FI’s first TCFD pilot, leading PCAF’s corporate loans methodology in 2017/18, and founding Rabobank’s climate center of expertise (Sustainability Data and Analytics). Prior to joining WBCSD, she worked with financial institutions to turn climate ambition into action, leading sector work for the Net‑Zero Banking Alliance and the delivery of the 2025 progress report for the Net‑Zero Asset Owners Alliance.

Alexandra also has first-hand experience in the financial sector and strategy consulting, having been a trusted partner and advisor for a diverse group of stakeholders at McKinsey & Company and Rabobank, where she made a difference by pioneering climate impact and risk assessments, developing data-driven sustainability analytics and farm emission tracking solutions, contributing to macroeconomic modeling and scenarios for stress testing, and shaping client Net‑Zero strategies and leading the delivery of several COP flagship reports.
