July 27 – Action day & field visits
July 28-29 – UNFSS+4
Marking four years since the inaugural 2021 UN Food Systems Summit (UNFSS), UNFSS+4 will serve as a platform to reflect on progress, strengthen accountability, and mobilize investment across public and private sectors to drive the transformation of global food systems. WBCSD, alongside FAO and the UN Global Compact, is co-leading the business engagement strategy into the summit.
The strategy has been developed under the three tracks of the UNFSS+4:
1. Demonstrate Progress: This track includes the development of a Compendium to highlight successful examples of co-investment models in agrifood systems transformation. It will be launched at the Summit.
2. Unlock Investment: This track aims to mobilize greater investments for practical, large-scale cases, and accelerate financing for innovative and entrepreneurial solutions with proven impact, including through the development of six high-level Investment Dialogues at the Summit. Under this track around 20 SMEs and entrepreneurs have also been selected by the Business Engagement Group to pitch their ideas and present investment opportunities to government officials, private sector, investors and partners during the Summit.
3. Public-Private collaboration and accounting for outcomes: This track aims to deliver public-private collaboration dialogues focused on purposeful policy conditions aimed at discussing the right enablers for private sector investment, tracking and measuring progress.
