About

We are an action-oriented, collaboration and advocacy platform. We convene Members and stakeholders to develop tools, methodologies and to share best practices. We help embed sustainability into core business strategy and operations to create a competitive advantage for Members.

We are a CEO-led organization of businesses and non-governmental bodies working together to accelerate the transition to a sustainable world by aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and WBCSD Vision 2050.

Priorities

BCSD Malaysia strives to raise awareness, share knowledge and build capacity; advocate the case for sustainability as a business opportunity; bring a collective business voice to engage with policymakers and regulatory authorities; initiate projects and programs in collaboration with stakeholders in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

Its areas of focus align with those of WBCSD and are developed through collaboration within working groups, engagement with the business community and projects for each area:

  • Circular economy
  • Cities and Mobility,
  • Climate and Energy,
  • Food and Nature
  • Social issues and human rights
  • Reporting and governance

Under BCSD Academy, BCSD Malaysia provides solutions to satisfy the increasing demand for sustainability leadership training and capacity building from corporates. BCSD Malaysia’s training programs include the flagship ESG Risk Integration Bootcamp, a three-day course that has been expertly curated to aid in businesses’ understanding and analysis of corporate sustainability. The course delves into the intrinsic relationship between sustainable development, identifying ESG-related risks and opportunities.
