Geneva, 11 October  2012 – The EEA helps raise company awareness about energy consumption and climate change; shows how energy efficiency contributes to the bottom line; celebrates associates’ achievements and creative thinking; and acts as a platform to share best practices and disseminate innovative solutions.

2012 entries have increased to 180, from 124 last year, with energy efficiency and minimization of waste projects being the most entered categories. The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony which will be held in December in Basel, Switzerland.

The WBCSD energy and climate team has been a member of the EEA Judge Panel since the 2006 edition.
