Xi’an, 2 September 2018: The China Corporate Sustainability Index Report and the “Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises in China” and China Corporate Sustainability Data Exchange were officially released at the 2018 China Top 500 Enterprises Summit. These are the first research report on sustainable development of enterprises in China, the first annual ranking of corporate sustainability performances, and the first China Corporate Sustainability Data Exchange.
The Summit was held in Xi’an, Shanxi province on 1 and 2 September around the theme of “Fulfilling High-quality Development and Building World First-Class Enterprises”.
Mr. Wang Zhongyu, President of CEC, delivered a keynote speech at the meeting and Mr. Wang Jiming, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Vice President of CEC and President of China BCSD released the 2018 China Top 500 Enterprises. China BCSD member companies present at the Summit included State Grid, Sinopec, Baowu Group, ChemChina, COOC, SDIC and Huafon.
At the launching ceremony of the China Corporate Sustainability Data Exchange, Mr. Wang Jiming, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Vice President of CEC and President of China BCSD, Mr. Wang Jinan, Dean of Chinese Academy for Environmental Planning (CAEP) of Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) and Academician of CAE, Mr. Yu Yuanmu, President of Chongqing Enterprise Confederation and Former Deputy Mayor of Chongqing, and Mr. Ye Haibo, WBCSD China Director, jointly unveiled the Data Exchange.
