An architecture for sustainable value transition within social and planetary boundaries

An architecture for sustainable value transition within social and planetary boundaries sets out to explain why sustainable economic and corporate performance within the boundaries of a finite planet is either unlikely or impossible without significant change to the current system of capitalism. It explores an architecture for sustainable value which would be capable of supporting a transition of corporate practice towards our shared Vision 2050 of 9+ billion people living well, within planetary boundaries, by mid-century.

The report is intended for sustainability practitioners, regulators, systems architects and academics. It describes why a sustainable transition is needed, a summary of the academic foundations of a sustainable transition, what a system architecture for sustainable value transition might look like, and obstacles to address and information flows required to achieve this architecture.
