San José, Costa Rica, 30 November 2017: WBCSD’s Global Network partner in Costa Rica, Asociación Empresarial para el Desarrollo (AED), has issued a special supplement in La Nacion, one of the country’s leading newspapers, focusing on the business contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The aim of the supplement is to generate awareness about the SDGs’ implications for the business community, an angle that does not necessarily appear on media outlets very often.
As part of the publication, Filippo Veglio, Managing Director of WBCSD’s People Program, shared the Council’s views on how companies can best position themselves in a meaningful and impactful manner, taking into account: risks; opportunities for developing sustainable solutions at scale; embedding sustainability into corporate governance and decision-making processes; and collaborating with like-minded partners in the private sector and beyond.
