Geneva, 5 November 2019: The Tire Industry Project (TIP) has published its third report on environmental key performance indicators (KPIs) linked to TIP member manufacturing activities 2009-2018.
The report updates on the overall evolution of TIP member environmental performance for tire manufacturing operations. It employs KPI covering energy and water use and their sources, and the release of CO2. Compliance with ISO 14001 is also considered.
TIP commissions the KPI report to provide a common set of measurements that can be used to assist individual company efforts to improve tire manufacturing environmental performance.
This edition of the TIP KPI report includes a list of examples of measures taken by TIP member companies that have directly contributed to improvements in the environmental performance of their tire manufacturing operations.
Covering 2009-2018, this report builds on earlier publications that covered the periods 2009-2015 and 2009-2017.
