Business for Sustainable Development, formerly Philippine Business for the Environment (PBE), is a non-stock, non-profit organization that was established in January 1992 to assist companies in exploring vital connections between business and the environment. Through the years it has evolved towards providing technical and advisory services to businesses in sustainability reporting, as well as services in embedding sustainability into their business processes like business strategy, business development, product and service development innovations, and performance management. Beyond private sector engagements, BSD also works with government to identify critical, catalytic policies that enables private sector to invest more in sustainable development. BSD has been instrumental in shaping the landscape of sustainability in the Philippines through sustainability management initiatives that has influenced both private and public sectors to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
