Call for business tools that can be mapped against the SDGs

GRI, the UN Global Compact and WBCSD are inviting further submissions to an inventory, which is part of the SDG Compass, to support organizations in measuring their contributions to the SDGs.

September 2017 marked two years since the launch of the SDG Compass, a joint initiative by GRI, the UN Global Compact (UNGC) and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). The SDG Compass aims to provide guidance for companies on how they can align their strategies and measure and manage their contributions to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

One key component of the SDG Compass is an extensive inventory of existing business tools mapped against the SDGs. This inventory lets companies explore and filter through an array of tools and resources that may be useful when assessing the impact of their organization on the SDG agenda.

The inventory is intended to be a work in progress and is therefore continually updated. GRI, UNGC and WBCSD are now reiterating a call for submissions of additional tools (or updated versions of existing tools) that are not currently included in the inventory, and that could help companies understand the degree to which they are contributing to specific or multiple SDGs.

If you would like to make an addition to the inventory, please submit details of the tool(s) in question via the SDG Compass website.
