Geneva, 31 May 2018: Known for its metrics-based approach for developing innovative sustainability strategies and solutions, Quantis has been a project member of WBCSD’s Food Reform for Sustainability and Health (FReSH) project since 2017. A key output of FReSH in this period has been the Food Loss and Waste Calculator, which Quantis helped to develop.

As an ‘Innovator Member’ of WBCSD, Quantis will share its expertise in product environmental performance, Life Cycle Assessment and tool development, as well as their experience in leading sector-specific initiatives and research, to develop and scale-up solutions to some of the most challenging sustainability issues.

“Quantis supports top organizations as they shift to a sustainable economy. We do this by co-creating innovative solutions with a science-driven approach. Delivering this fact-based guidance empowers businesses to set effective strategies and make robust decisions,” explains Quantis CEO Emmanuelle Aoustin, adding, “This purpose is closely aligned with that of WBCSD, which makes us proud to work more closely together. We look forward to driving further change through FReSH, Factor10 (WBCSD’s circular economy project) as well as through the Cement and Tire Industry Projects and other exciting initiatives.”

WBCSD President and CEO Peter Bakker said, “Quantis’ leadership and innovative approach has already had a transformative effect on our FReSH project, with the Food Loss and Waste Calculator a key output of this collaboration. I am excited to see how we can continue this work in other areas and leverage our use of science-based targets to deliver lasting change.”

Founded in Lausanne, Switzerland, Quantis now has offices in the US, France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Colombia. This network supports its diverse global client list, which includes several current WBCSD members as well as international and governmental organizations such as the European Commission.

Quantis becomes WBCSD’s 16th member company in the consultancy sector and its 13th member company in Switzerland.
