Farm to Market Alliance: Public-private partnership making markets work better for farmers

The Farm to Market Alliance is a public-private partnership comprising Syngenta, Yara, Bayer, Rabobank, AGRA and the World Food Program. Operating in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Zambia, the Alliance addresses the major systemic problems confronting all smallholder producers by enabling access to predictable markets, affordable finance, technologies and quality inputs, and handling and storage solutions. Their latest COVID-19 response proposal aims to increase liquidity to farmers and value chains in Kenya where banks have stopped lending.
