Spain: Forética and Inter-American Development Bank publish good business practices to reduce food waste

Madrid, 14 March 2019: Forética, WBCSD’s Global Network partner in Spain, in collaboration with the Office of Strategic Alliances of the Inter-American Development Bank have published a study titled Good corporate practices in the area of food loss and waste reduction in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The document presents the current state of this challenge at the global level, focusing on Latin America and the Caribbean, and analyzes the role of the private sector and the opportunities arising from the management of this challenge based on the analysis of leading companies in the agri-food sector that operate in the region.

Forética and the IDB are committed to continuing the work with the business community, focusing on trends analysis, knowledge sharing and tool development in view of accelerating the transition towards a waste-free world.

With the #SinDesperdicio campaign hashtag on social media, the IDB is mobilizing a coalition to develop innovative solutions, share experiences and good practices and support leading organizations.
