Influencing the international energy and climate dialogue
The WBCSD has a long history of engagement with UN processes, beginning with a role coordinating business input into the Rio Earth Summit in 1992.
The WBCSD has been an observer at the UNFCCCclimate change negotiations since their inception in 1995, providing a business presence and voice. The WBCSDpromotes a business perspective through information events, policy papers and dialogue and meetings with key negotiators.
The WBCSD works together with other leading business organizations in the UNFCCC sessions, including the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the International Emissions Trading Association.
