Overview

The WBCSD is exploring setting up a virtual Sustainable Development Management Institute (SDMI), to support the education of today’s and tomorrow’s business leaders with regards to sustainable development. This center of excellence will focus on developing the tools and training these individuals will need in preparation for the green race and the resource- and carbon-constrained world. The SDMI will build on WBCSD strengths, leverage existing WBCSD materials and intellectual capital. Further, the new institute will contribute to the integration of sustainable development into business practices, both now and in the future.

Diploma

The WBCSD is engaged in a partnership with the Business School of Lausanne and the University of St. Gallen and recently launched a first-of-its-kind Diploma in Sustainable Development, designed to nurture future business leaders. It offers a unique setting in which participants can acquire the new skills and competencies required to lead the sustainability agenda in business, and apply them directly in a practical consulting project.
