Business & SD
Business & SD News is a weekly compilation of international news covering topics of high importance in the field of sustainable development from a wide range of sources.


Energy & Climate
The Energy & Climate newsletter monitors developments in the political and business arenas as well as scientific advances and environmental and social concerns.


Regional Network
The Regional Network newsletter informs you about the latest activities of the WBCSD's Regional Network, an informal confederation of more than 50 independent organizations.


Sustainable Livelihoods
The SL newsletter features project updates, video perspectives from leading business figures as well as the latest evidence from companies who are moving from words to action.


Sustainable Mobility
The Sustainable Mobility newsletter reinforces the WBCSD project by providing information on sustainable transportation, including infrastructure, policy measures, fuels & technology.


Water and Sustainable Development
The Water newsletter features up-to date information about the activities of the WBCSD water project, case studies from multinational companies and speeches by business leaders.


WBCSD Update
The Update keeps you informed of the WBCSD’s latest activities. A new report, press release, upcoming launch or an important conference are featured in this practical newsletter.


WBCSD Press Update
The Press Update caters specifically to journalists and editors covering all aspects of the business and sustainable development beat.

WBCSD Discussions

Dialogues are proactive. Dialogues help to build capacity and inspire change. They are meant to anticipate future challenges and influence longer-term strategies within companies, NGOs, governments and other groups.

This space is a forum to engage people in serious global discussions, leading to better-informed thinking and a greater understanding of all parties and issues involved. It offers a facilitated process for groups to engage with those persons and institutions that have a stake in their activities.

What’s in it for business?

Today, business has to make decisions in a more demanding and informed global society. Increasing competition, more domestic and international pressure to be transparent and changing societal expectations make it impossible for companies to operate without being in close contact with those around them.

Among companies, there has been a sharp increase in stakeholder engagement activities as they have come to realize that people or groups outside the core areas of influence can also be stakeholders.
