The WBCSD Council Meeting in Istanbul is bringing together CEO council members, senior executives, and members of the organization’s 60 regional network partners to generate leading business solutions to some of the most pressing global sustainable development issues of our time.
The Council Meeting starts with a welcome dinner on Tuesday, November 5, followed by an action-packed plenary day on November 6, when such high-level guest speakers as Ban Ki-moon, Rajendra Pachauri (IPCC), Andrew Steer (WRI) and Johan Rockstrom (Stockholm Resilience Centre) take the stage to lead dynamic discussions among the more than 130 members in attendance. Key topics during the plenary day will explore science as the basis for action; collaboration; and charting the way forward for Action2020.

Council Members' Lounge
New this year and exclusive to council members, the lounge is located in the Miyako Japanese Restaurant on Level 5 of the Swissotel, and is designed to provide members with a private space for bi-lateral meetings. Coffee and snacks are available throughout the day.
