Julian Hill-Landolt

Senior Director, Nature Action & Member of the Extended Leadership Group

Julian leads WBCSD’s work on Nature Action, which supports members in accelerating business action to halt and reverse nature loss, as well as helping to shape the emerging corporate performance and accountability system for nature. 

Previously, Julian led the implementation of WBCSD’s Membership Criteria, while also being responsible for the long-standing Reporting matters project and unique Global Network of 60 regional partner organizations. He co-led WBCSD's Vision 2050: Time to Transform, a comprehensive framework for business action in line with the challenges we face as global societies. Vision 2050 provides the business world with a reinvigorated and ambitious agenda for the decade to come. Before Vision 2050, Julian led the Sustainable Lifestyles work at WBCSD, which focused on the innovations and aspirations needed to make sustainable living both possible and desirable. He joined WBCSD in 2013 as manager of the President’s Office, supporting Peter Bakker in his global role as President of WBCSD. 

Julian spent the first 10 years of his career in the technology sector and holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London, and an LLB in Law from University College London. A dual Swiss-UK national, he is based in Geneva, where he lives with his wife and two young children.
